Add water, life blossoms

Southern Sudan is a semi-autonomous region about the size of Texas in the US. It is not as well-known as Sudan’s Darfur region. But its people face similar hardships, including lack of safe, drinkable water in a harsh desert climate.

To date, Water for Sudan has successfully drilled 75 borehole wells, bringing clean, safe water to tens of thousands of people in Southern Sudan. A single well may serve several thousand people.

Hope for a better life springs from a well. Women don’t spend their days trekking long distances for water. Children may go to school, expanding their dreams and the possibility to fulfill them. Small businesses, even markets become possible.

Where safe water flows, life can blossom.
