Where we drill

Water for Sudan’s operations are focused in Southern Sudan, a collection of states or counties governed by the semi-autonomous Government of Southern Sudan (GOSS) based in Juba, Sudan. Southern Sudan is about the size of the state of  Texas in the US.

GOSS was created as part of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement signed in 2005 ending 21 years of war between the Khartoum-based central government and the Sudanese People’s Liberation Movement in the south.

As of 2009, our drilling teams, A and B, operate in remote villages west and east of the White Nile river which bisects Southern Sudan. Operations are hundreds of miles south and east of the violence in Darfur. View a detailed map of Southern Sudan and Water for Sudan's 75 wells drilled.
